INSTRUCTIONS: Introduce bottle contents into the main tank and/or into the sump. Make sure that pump, returns, and other filtration are off for a few minutes before adding the product and keep all flow off for about an hour to allow the Rotifers and the Copepods to settle on the bottom. To store, keep the remaining product refrigerated, invert the bottle daily and open and close it every 2 days. It is recommended that the bottle is used within two weeks of purchase. Should you not use the bottle within that time period, add live phytoplankton until the water is light green.

APO PODS

Apocyclops Panamensis “Apo” Copepods are an excellent species to seed a refugium or new reef tank. These hardy Copepods are slightly larger than Tisbe pods and slightly smaller than Tigriopus pods. This intermediate size makes them a healthy live snack for your finicky fish and coral. Apo Copepods are extremely nutritious, containing high amounts of amino acids and proteins. They are also rich in beta-carotene, with helps enhancing and brightening the colors of fish and coral. These warm water Copepods reproduce quickly, laying eggs every 4-6 days, about twice the rate of Tisbe and Tigriopus. This makes them the perfect choice for a beginner reefer. In addition, Apocyclops pods feed on phytoplankton, fish waste, and other detritus in your tank. This makes them a critical part of any clean up crew. As juveniles, Apocyclops Copepods stay hidden in the rockwork, macroalgae, and glass in your aquarium. As Apocyclops Pods mature into adults, they lay eggs before making their way into the water column, where they provide a sustainable and nutritious live food source for your fish and corals. Their natural life cycle makes them an ideal addition to a tropical aquarium ecosystem. They are a must-have addition to increase the biodiversity to your reef tank and feed the most variety of fish.

BRINE SHRIMP

Brine Shrimp are tiny reddish-brown crustaceans that can live for several months reach up to 15 mm (0.6 in) in length. They have a remarkable resistance to change and are able to live in a wide variety of water salinity and temperature. They are an ideal food source for finicky eaters such as seahorses, pipefish, mandarinfish and other dragonets. In addition, Brine Shrimp helps maintaining water balance by feeding on algae, bacteria and other detritus.

TIGGER PODS

Packed with omega-3 fatty and amino acids, Tigriopus Californicus Copepods represent a sort of multivitamin for fish. They are the perfect Copepod to help your fish thrive and grow. They are bight red in color, thanks to high levels of beta-carotene, and bigger than most Copepods (adult Tigger Pods can measure up to 3 mm). When you make Tigger Copepods available as a food source in your reef, many of the fish that eat them will take on a fuller, brighter color. Tigger Pods make an enticing meal for any fish due to their unique swim pattern, which makes them easy to spot, and their size, including for picky eaters like Mandarin Gobies, Scooter Blennies and Butterfly Fish. Additionally, they add to your clean up crew by feeding on detritus, algae, and Phytoplankton. Given the right conditions (their own tank, or a well-established reef or refugium with plenty of Phytoplankton and Rotifers), Tigriopus Californicus will continue reproducing in your aquarium, feeding your livestock and helping to purify the water.

TISBE PODS

Tisbe Biminiensis “Tisbe” copepods are a small nocturnal species of copepods which tends to inhabit the cracks and crevasses of live rock and macroalga. They are rich with fatty acids, representing a nutritious food source for all of your livestock. Their dimensions make them an excellent choice for all of your livestock, including corals and small fish. Tisbe Pods are great for seeding new tanks and refugiums, boosting existing populations, or feeding finicky fish and inverts such as mandarins, seahorses, anthias, wrasses, SPS, LPS & NPS corals, and most other filter-feeding inverts.  In addition, Tisbe Copepods feed on Phytoplankton, fish waste, invasive algae and other detritus in your tank. This makes them a critical part of any clean up crew. Their tendence to hide and their nocturnal nature helps them maintain their population inside the tank. This makes Tisbe Biminiensis the perfect Copepods for a beginner reefer.
